Dear CrossFit, 6 months in now, and damn it feels good to trust the process. And I think we're getting pretty serious. Photo on the left was taken March 2016, about two months doing bootcamp workouts with no desire at all to touch a bella bar. I've probably weigh around 115-120lbs. What I remember the most about this month was how I spent zero time trying to challenge or push myself. My only goal was to have the best WOD score. But could I do push-ups? Barely. Burpees? I'd give up on the 2nd or 3rd rep. Lift anything more than 50lbs? I'd say no in a heartbeat & rather not try. What I remember the most about this month is how I spent more time trying to challenge or push myself. "My only goal" turned into goals for the month. I came to the realization that not having the best WOD score is actually okay, and that what matters is starting & finishing strong. So, could I do push-ups? A proud & an emotional yes. Burpees? I'd still give up but surely not on the 2nd or 3rd rep. Lift anything more than 50lbs? I'd say yes in a heartbeat & never back down. 6 months in now, and damn it feels good to trust the process.
